It is time once again for the results of the Flos Olei International Competition, our annual journey through the world of high-quality extra virgin olive oil, which will be published in the upcoming new edition of the Guide.

Now in its eighteenth edition, Flos Olei 2027 - a guide to the world of extra virgin olive oil, has established itself as the most important global publication in the sector. Structured as a bilingual olive growing atlas (available in the three versions: Italian-English, Italian-Spanish, and Italian-Chinese), it classifies and describes olive growing regions across 57 countries and 5 continents, featuring reviews of the world’s top 500 farms.

Following the ranking of the 500 farms included in the guide, each with its respective score, we present below the farms that have received awards, along with the specific extra virgin olive oils that earned them this distinction.

Flos Olei features three ranking categories: Hall of Fame+, Hall of Fame, and The Best.

The Hall of Fame ranking includes a group of farms that have reached such a level of excellence to deserve an honorary recognition represented by the score 100/100. Requirements: excellent and constant quality of the submitted oils over time, complete supply chain (company-owned groves, mill, and bottling facility), farm history (years of presence in the guide).

The Hall of Fame producers can earn an Honor: Hall of Fame+. The “+” represents the Honor. Requirements: The Honor is linked to the tasting profile of the extra virgin olive oils submitted to the competition, that is to say to extremely positive assessments given by the panel (tasting peaks, top tasting). The wide range of the submitted oils could contribute, especially if they are all uniformly excellent.

These are complemented by the Special Awards: The Importer of the Year, The Restaurant of the Year, The Journalist of the Year, and The Cristina Tiliacos Special Award.

Once again, this list is being released as a preview for the press, professionals of the sector, and the general public.
